Using a Portable Near-infrared Spectroscopy Device to Estimate The Second Ventilatory Threshold

چکیده
Abstract A breakpoint in a portable near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) derived deoxygenated haemoglobin (deoxy[Hb]) signal during an incremental VO2max running test has been associated with the second ventilatory threshold (VT2) healthy participants. Thus, aim was to examine association between this and VT2 well-trained runners. Gas exchange NIRS data were collected for 10 The calculated oxygen saturation (StO2) determined compared terms relative %VO2max, absolute speed, VO2, maximum heart rate (HRmax). There no significant differences (p>0.05) StO2 %VO2max (87.00±6.14 88.28 ± 3.98 %), speed (15.70±1.42 16.10±1.66 km·h−1), VO2 (53.71±15.17 54.66±15.57 ml·kg−1·min−1), and%HRmax (90.90±4.17 91.84±3.70%). large correlations instruments to%VO2max (r=0.68, p<0.05), (r=0.86, p<0.001), %HRmax (r=0.69; p<0.05). Bland Altman analysis of agreement resulted mean difference − 1.27±4.49%, −0.40±0.84 km·h−1,−0.90±3.07 ml·kg−1·min−1, 0.94±3.14 %HRmax, respectively. We conclude that determination is comparable using gas therefore appropriate use determining exercise training above intensity. This first study analyze validity mode device.

Oxygenation Threshold Derived from Near-Infrared Spectroscopy: Reliability and Its Relationship with the First Ventilatory Threshold
BACKGROUND Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) measurements of oxygenation reflect O2 delivery and utilization in exercising muscle and may improve detection of a critical exercise threshold. PURPOSE First, to detect an oxygenation breakpoint (Δ[O2HbMb-HHbMb]-BP) and compare this breakpoint to ventilatory thresholds during a maximal incremental test across sexes and training status. Second, to ...

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is one of the diseases that have grown dramatically in today's societies. People with diabetes should continuously measure their blood glucose level. Continuous blood glucose measurement by commonly used methods is painful and difficult. On the other hand, mobile phone can be a useful tool for accessing physicians and telemedicine services more easily. The aim of...

متن کاملNondestructive Firmness Estimation of Tomato Fruit Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy
Today, nondestructive methods are widely used to determine the quality of agricultural products. Meanwhile, visible and near-infrared (Vis/NIR) spectroscopy is regarded as one of the most widely used methods in the field of quality assessment of agricultural products. In this study, a system was developed to measure the Vis/NIR spectra of tomato fruit samples in the half-transmittance mode of m...
متن کاملbrain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)
near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...
